New Business Development Manager (B2B)

Tired of working in a restrictive sales environment with limited scope and freedom to find, develop and grow new business?

Reports to: Sales Director

Location: Slough

Salary: Comprehensive

Key Responsibilities:

As New Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business sales in line with business targets. As well as:

  • Meet set targets for revenue and margin.
  • Identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services.
  • Develop and carry out the business sales plan for increasing revenue and margin.
  • Cold calling to potential key accounts to prospect for new business.
  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
  • Manage the entire sales process and create new business opportunities to grow your own accounts.
  • Gain a clear understanding of customers businesses and requirements.

KPIs Include:

  • Gross profit targets
  • Growth in net new customers

Experience and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of meeting sales targets in a business development / new business environment. You’ll be a well-presented sales ‘hunter’ with strong leadership skills and a proactive self-starter, with tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets. You will be a team player who is also able to work independently. With strong organisational and project management skills, you will also have good attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will have:

  • 5 years+ experience in an IT business-to-business sales environment (ideally with a reseller selling to end users)
  • A solid sales background, with demonstrable success in meeting targets
  • The ability to build relationships at senior management level
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to secure business revenue
