FlameStop FS101-1KG is a fully automatic self-seeking fire extinguisher system, designed for Server and Data Rack applications where cooling fans are not installed (refer to PS series for cabinets with cooling fans). It discharges FM200 Clean Gas automatically through the tube where rupture occurs. 5 Meters of polymer tubing is supplied as standard with each unit , longer lengths available as an option. Comes with a End of Tube Gauge* for monitoring of the extinguisher status, designed to be mounted either vertically or horizontally. FlameStop can be used as first line of defence minimising unnecessary activation of main FM200 system as FlameStop is installed inside cabinets. Flamestop is suitable for any applications where the risk is in a confined or enclosed space.
*When installing the polymer tubing it is important that the End of Gauge unit is positioned so that it can be easily examined on a weekly basis to check the extinguisher status. What are the advantages of Flexitec?
Flamestop is simple to fit; it has a wide range of applications and can be adapted to suit most requirements. It is a self-activating system that does not rely on electronics, moving parts or external monitors. FlameStop uses polymer tube technology that can both detect the fire and deliver the extinguishing media to the seat of the fire. The 6mm diameter tube is directly pressurised from the cylinder and placed around the area of risk (Servers, UPS etc) to be protected. How does it work? When a fire occurs and touches the tubing the tube bursts at the hottest point and releases FM200 Clean Gas to the heart of the fire. The fire will be extinguished leaving the rest of the items in your server rack unaffected. Without FlameStop installed in the cabinet the fire will be left to quickly spread to other devices resulting in a much greater loss. The Server Room application: Server Room already fire protected may have a large expensive Gas system normally protecting the whole room with a total flood system. This needs heat and smoke to be detected in the room, large quantities of gas is then released in to the room flooding the fire with inert gas to extinguish the fire. Disadvantage: The gas replacement cost is very high and can create significant down time The need: Localised protection by installing the FlameStop red tube inside the cabinet the risk of activation of the main system can be reduced. The FlameStop works as a first line low cost defence not to replace the whole room system. |
