Rosengrens Polaris cabinets are internationally certified to 2 hour fire protection. The test consists of:-
Place live data into cabinet. Put cabinet into 1000 degree furnace for 1 hour. Remove from furnace and drop 9.1 metres onto solid floor. Put back into furnace for 1 hour. Remove and allow cabinet to ‘soak out’ for 24 hours. Open safe and ALL data must be readable, i.e. the internal temperature must not exceed 50 degrees C.
- Fire-resistant data media cabinet, manufactured from the latest lightweight fire resistant materials.
- Tested and certified to 2 hour fire-resistant under VDMA 24991, EN1047-1 & UL Class 125 1H.
- Locking bolt system offers good burglary resistance.

- Resettable RKL-10 Key lock as standard – unique to Rosengrens. In the event that a key is lost or stolen, a new set (with different profile) is ordered and the lock reset by the user to fit the new keys, rendering the lost/stolen key unworkable.
- Electronic lock or combination lock optional.
- ‘Push & seal’ door ensures full fire protection – even if left unlocked.
- Door opens a full 90 degrees to allow easy access to all data.
- Range of internal fitments to accept all types of magnetic media.
- External dimensions 1480mm H x 750mm W x 720mm D.
- Will pass through any standard office door.
- Weighs 495kg – will go in most passenger lifts.
